Not sure you can get 300bhp from a supercharged 200, even a 300 with a charger would struggle to make that. I have 260bhp with a turbo and piggyback on 9psi from my 200 and a dyno sheet to prove it. And I may be selling that if anyone makes me a sensible offer. Modified, engine, suspension, brakes, wheels/tyres and only 79k miles

Like every MPG comparison it depends, how and where you drive it, long motorway runs will give you a lot more than short town journeys and whether you drive foot to the floor or like your nan.... in normal driving the MPG is no different, but if you boot it all the time then yes it will use a bit more fuel. but for the fun its worth it......

But going back on topic, from nearly years worth of research keeping the 1gfe na and gaining decent  power will you most expensive option. swapping for r200 engine is probably more efficient than tuning the 1g in my opinion,  some will say "just get a is300" is300 average around 3 to 6k still!  picked my is200 up for 550,

Forced induction is the best way of getting your money's worth.

Me personally if I had 2 to 3 k spare, I'd either go with the r200 swap or turbo /supercharge my block. or buy a mk6 type r or mk7 accord type s but then loose rwd

Well I am in no hurry to sell, but my life is taking a different direction now, so I will be looking to sell in the next few months,

Engine     Turbo/piggyback/lightened flywheel/decat/Powerflow back box. 260bhp at 9 psi on dyno upgraded in October 15

Suspension    Meister R coilovers, Eibach ARB's, full Superpro poly bush kit, front Cusco strut brace, B & M short shift, lsd from sport model

Wheels      Rota Gravel 18 X 8.5 with Michelin Pilot Super Sports 225/40/18 tyres.

Brakes    big brake kit 4 pot.

Full history, part Lexus, part Japanese Tuning specialist.. Alignment by WIM. All modification work carried out by specialists..

Only 79,000 miles, Just serviced with new NGK plugs

Message me if anyone interested. I am in no hurry to sell so stupid offers wont even have the courtesy of a reply. Over £7k spent over the years to buy and have fitted and set up. .Looks like a sleeper car as has no bodykit or spoilers and sounds nice but not loud especially on full boost with turbo/wastegate.

Come on you know you want to, lol

The following na setup may get you some  where near 200bhp.

Port and Polished head apparently the exhaust side is quite restricted)

Head skimmed to raise compression

Ignition Timing adjusted

Decent ram intake (not just as a cone filter attached to sopipes.)

Straight through exhaust

Uprated cams

Lightened single mass flywheel

Piggy back ecu and remap

Good service with decent engine oil.

But this setup with parts alone will be very pricey. even if you got everything quite cheap

I think even with all that you would struggle to get 200bhp, maybe 180 if you were lucky and probably 5 grand less in your pocket. Cams would be very expensive on their own and its quite top end already so wouldn't really help for every day driving. As many have said on various different forums, forced induction is the only way to get more power from the 200 or the 300/altezza for that matter, these are not cheap cars to modify, but with a bulletproof car to start with and something different with great looks, you wont regret it.

Turbo and ECU fitted and set up is less than 3 grand for 260 - 280 bhp, or do it yourself for about 2k, but then you would need to think about suspension and brakes as well.
