Howdy,

Just dropping in to say Hello! :D

Needed to replace an aging Scorpio with somthing a bit nicer, and after browsing the various user communities for BMW, Mercedes and Lexus, chosing a fairly high mileage but minty GS300 was an easy decision.

Great forum, loads of good tips. Many thanks all :)

Crumbs, what a welcome :)

I do like big cars, normally aspirated muscle over forced induction anyday! I'm very very happy with the GS, I think it's going to be the first of many; I loved those Scorpio's too mind, it was my third Cosworth (one Granada and two Scorpio Ultimas), for what I paid they were terrific value.

The Lexus is a very different though, it is so solid and refined. Remarkably good as the Fords were, after some miles they all rattle and start to fall apart, also the technolgy in them was quite new for Ford so reliabilty of the gearbox and other bits and bobs is a problem for a lot of them now. The Lexus feels like it will run forever as long as I keep it serviced.

Hello Dani, and welcome to Loc :)

You should notice a big difference over the Fords, especially when youve had a good chance to get used to that extra refinement and reliabiltity.

We would love to see some pics, and why not pop over to Jae and see us and say hello.

Totally agree but having both is great fun too :D

I have the Japanese import version of your car which is called an Aristo, the only difference being they add a couple of turbos to the 3 litre engine, in all it's a lot of fun

Are you going to come to JAE this year, we're asking everyone, basically it's the biggest show of the year, three days long and a lot of fun?
