One wet night my passenger side wiper stopped in the middle of the windscreen, which then caused the driver side to bash into it and get stuck. After abit of pulling I managed to get the driver side working. The following day I took apart the front wipers and found a bar which attached the driver to the passenger side wipers had been worn and had come come off the mounting. Is this problem common? Or an I unlucky?

Think that you are just unlucky. I have never heard of that fault before.

Here or on the US forums.

Hope that you get it sorted out cheaply enough.
