Need A Little Help

i've just been lookin at the spec sheet, and i'm unsure of the differences between the mpg figures, ie, I don't know what extra urban is compared to urban, obviously i've noticed that extra urban is lexus friendly, and I know I only get roughly 25-30mpg

basically, i've been asked to work the next four months nearly 25 miles away instead of the usual 5, and they dont want to pay the extra fuel, however, I don't earn enough to be taken for a mug so I want the fuel money.

half my trip is motorway and the rest just normal towns, so is that just urban or a combination of urban and extra urban? I need to make sure i'm presenting the right figures when I ask for my fuel money

Motor way is extra urban, town is urban so you will have a mix

On contary i think you will find that your MPG will go up. This will be counteracted by doing extra miles though. Should get 350-400 miles a tank in mixed driving, so long as your not a 4250 RPM junkie!!! :P

I agree that you'll probably get better mpg. I do a mix everday as i have 22 miles to work and 22 miles back. I average about 30 mpg.

I think your definately within your rights to claim fuel costs thought if they're making you travel further.

thanks for the help, I asked for the expenses, they said no, I said I wasn't willing to travel, they didn't even kick up a fuss
