How 2 Push Back Out Inserts On Rear Bumper?

Recommended Posts

while going into a 24 hour tescos @ 5 past midnight to get the new Harry Potter book (for my nephew obviously), some other eager fan must have rubbed against the back bumper, the marks are fiarly light and most will polish out but one of the inserts is pushed in, when i tried to reach in from behind i meet styrofoam and cann't get high enougn to pop it out properly. I'm cautious about popping it out from the front with a screwdriver/knife cos they neary always get damaged. any ideas/experience towards a fix?

no parking sensors on my car, they are colour coded flush fitting recangular/square inserts on the back of the bumper to the left and the right. i think they probably cover bolts or something. they measure about 1inch and a half by inch

Aaaah...the towing eyelet covers no doubt. I think it might be an idea to take into a body shop, if the damage is bad, some "metal work" behind could be needed. I believe there is a threaded section which you screw the towing eye into. It won't be that deep behind the coves, only a couple of inches or so.

Are yo able to claim on insurance?PS - act dumb - take it to a Body shop and let them quote you. No doubt they'll carefully take the covers out to see what hurt behind...
