Has anyone installed a TomTom (or similar satnav) in a mk1 Lexus Rx300? I'm thinking of buying a TOmTom One Europe & mounting on the side quarterlight but I'm not sure it will pick up a signal. Also, can I hard fix the power cable hidden out of sight rather than use the cigarette lighter socket? Thanks

tomtom is the software ( unless they started making the consoles also ) u should be able to get extension cables to move the gps sensor

I have made a dash mount for my Tomtom with the cable out of site.

Its not the best finnish as its the first one I have made and thinking of making another

You can also just tap off any ignition 12v signal in the car (i.e. the stereo).

Take the plug off the charger and hide it behind the dash so it just pops out where you need it.
