Key Left In Boot!

hi chaps ive locked the key in the boot by accident :whistling: and havent got the valet key . if i take the log book and id to the stealers will i be able to get the key number to get a key cut to allow me to open the door ??

lots of posts about this in the past. Do a search. Very easy to get into the boot on the IS200/300, very weak security unless you use the key to disable the internal boot release.

Yeah, I think the 'how to' was moved to the gold forums.

It always pays to keep a cheap key at home - just cut - not programmed so you can unlock the doors or boot if you do something like that. Costs about £3 to get a key cut but saves you a lot of hassle. I know it doesn't help matters now, but worth a thought for future reference.

i live in stalybridge, hope it dont include ripping the boot open or breaking glass!!!! lol :o

thanks Gord all sorted now advice saved me £115. will get a spare cut asap save me from being a numpty again!! :whistling:
