Best Front Speakers

Recommended Posts

I have had Phoenix Gold, great strong speaker.

I have Focal 6x9's they seem good, would like to see what there components are like.

I have always been a fan of components, 2 way are good as you dont get too much high hat (treble)

ive got alpine type R, really good speakers cant say much more than that :D

I think if you want the best, Rainbow, or Diamond Audio, big bucks i think though. i have a mix of Pioneer and Inphase in mine, cheap stuff but no complaints with it. maybe a bit on the bass side!

ive used Focal, Rainbow and there both excellent brands, as are Boston, ive heard cars with there stuff fitted , but my favorite which i had fitted in my M3 was DLS

DLS are pricy though, but if i was to buy something off the shelf, id go with Focal K2 stuff its excellent quality, boston (im not sure on there product range nowadays) i used Rainbow stuff in a couple of cars there components are descreet....but great quality

DLS are swedish, and rainbow are German, there actually part of Becker, another good brand, not seen much outside of Germany

DLS were a good brand back in the early 1990's, I knew 2 guys that had them

+ they piped my Kenwood Componets, I'm really do not know if they are still that

good, but prob worth a listen if you can find a Dealer and the Price is within budget.

Speakers are very subjective, and all sorts of things will vary as to how good they will

sound, factors like regular listening volumes, amplification, and the main one being

the kind of music you would regularly play through them.

One persons nirvana is not always suited to someone elses taste, so listen to whatever

LOC comes up with, check your budget, then go looking for a proper Car Audio Specialist

that sells the brands you have shortlisted,(Halfords does definately not qualify in my opinion)

then take with you a favourite CD, and have a listen.

My choice may not suit your ears/music, and it is your money so listen to everyones

recommendations, and pick what you are happy with, because there really is no point

in wishing for the next year or 2 that you should have bought yourself Brand X instead

or what I or anyone else says.

I run a full set of Alpines in mine now,(including component fronts,6x9s, H.U. + Amp)

as all would testify that have been in mine, they are crystal clear at ear bleeding levels.

(all my ICE listed in my Sig below)

Good luck with yours mate whatever you decide to go for.

If I can be of any futher help, please let me know.

Regards

Wozza
