I'm Going Public With My Addiction

I have a terrible addiction, Rikos has stayed quiet about it

since he was in my car @ JAE, but now I'm coming out.

I have a Cigarette Lighter addiction (& I don't even smoke !!!!)

There I've come out & said it.

I feel better already. :)

Here's how it all started.

I have the original Black Plastic one that came with my Lexus.

I thought it was very boring and could have come from an old Datsun Sunny.

So I fell in love with one on E-Bay, so I bought it. :duh:

Then after a few months I became bored with it, so I started looking around

the net for something better. A nicer Cigarette Lighter was found also on

E-Bay, and I tried to fight it, I left it in my Watched items for about 3 days

before at about 4AM one night/early morning I got this terrible feeling

& I just couldn't resist anymore and I just had to have it. I paid more for the

privilege with Buy-It-Now, but it was mine all mine !!!!!!

I kept my addiction secret for a few months longer, and I thought I would be

outted @ the TDI Meet with WIM. They had scales for the car there, & you

got accurate corner weight measurements. Mine was 20kg heavier nearside front.

People were wondering why that was, and I told them it was a full to the brim washer

bottle. They believed me and my cigarette lighter haul went un-noticed

hidden away in my glovebox.

Then someone found out my secret at JAE.

I begged Rikos not to tell anyone, but he helped me understand I had a problem,

so I have finally found the courage to confront it.

I have 3 Cigarette Lighters that I don't use, & I think I can beat my addiction

by getting rid of 2 of them. I have to have 1 as i don't like unsightly holes. :o

There are 2 Pictures (I am sure you know wht the standard one looks like)

and I need LOC members opinions as to which is best, the other 2 I will

dispose of. I have included a picture of my Gearknob to show what it

needs to look good with.

IMO keep the second one pass on the chrome one (first pic) to somebody else that may suffer from this terrible affliction. Good luck I hope you are now cured.

As to addictions. Mine is for hi-fi loudspeakers. Have set in each room and even a set (that takes 2 men to lift per speaker) in storage in garage!
