Front Brake Pad Life

Hi All,

all you auto runners what milage did you get out of your front pads before replacing - I know this will depend on driving style and what type of roads used - also is there a low pad warning -(still cant find that manual )

My front pads were changed at the 20k service. Cost me something ridiculous like £160.

I'm on 25k and they are still OK.

I've only covered 14K in the 20 months I've had the car and there's plenty left on the pads, although from the dust on the rims they are wearing fairly quickly. Will probably have the 350 calipers, disks and ceramic pads on before the 250 front pads are out.

Hi All

thanks - had a quick look -maybe i will get to 20k service - so no warning on dash to let you know pads are low- hmmm all that high tech on board and not a warning to let you know your pads are near the mark .
