Nokia Ck Car Kit

I have had this installed for two years or so but have never had the MUTE working

I have just opened the back of the stero and have found that

Nokia Red Wire goes to Stero Red / Silver wire

Nokia Blue Wire goes to Black Silver wire

Double black wire Taped up!

I tried the yellow wire (MUTE WIRE) from the nokia kit into the PLAIN Green wire but never worked (as suggested by ROB)

Anyone no which one it should to?

My CD Player is bottom loading one

I never wired it up in the first place - friend of a friend did - it all works fine apart from MUTE

the mute is pin 18 think its a green wire but ill double check 4 u

ok the only wiring diagram i have is for LHD and that shows yellow wire. pin 7 BUT THIS POST SEEMS TO SUGGEST PIN 2

Get a tester, and look for the pin that gives out approx 0.5V .... then put the mute wire into it, and test to see if it works.

That's the easiest way of installing it.

And shouldn't that black wire from the car kit be connected to earth....

Im trying to find out which wire mutes the stereo as well, but for the top loading cd player. Ive done some searches but keep coming up with the same ones about the bottom loading cd player.

Anyone got a definate answer about the toploader mute?
