If Lexus Didn't Exist

The range of responses is pretty cool. Keep 'em coming!

I was talking to a friend recently and we're both agreed that for anything approaching sensible money (in Ireland) there's nothing we actually wanted. I'd like an M3 or RS4 or something of that ilk, but they're all in excess of 100k here. Even the news Audi S5 is 80k roughly. I'd quite like to change car (I have something of a lemon) but short of getting another IS200, I just can't think of anything. I wouldn't mind an IS250, but I can't afford the new price, and second-hand prices are high with the cars poorly spec'ed. I'm even mulling over a 3yo BMW 525 at this stage, just cos I can't think of anything else! Problem is I'm not an "enthusiast" in the sense that I haven't a clue about anything under the bonnet, so I need something that just works all the time. An older, more interesting car would be cool, but I don't think I'm the man for it.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the answers, so don't let me interrupt you!

Si

I'd be in a Benz, S-class, a few years old, being realistic on what money I have, and i'd probably be forced to LPG it just so I can afford fuel, but I've loved them for as long as I can remember, they have a certain presence
