"gold" Discount

My IS 250 SE-L went into Lexus MK for service this morning.

No problems - straightforward 10,000 mile/one year service - took about an hour and a half and I waited.

I mentioned my Gold membership of LOC and asked for discount. It was explained to me that the discount applied only to "parts" and that the changed engine oil does not count as a "part". The "parts" on which I got 10% discount were: the oil filter kit (£8.17 + VAT); screenwash fluid (89p + VAT); and the gasket drain plug (78p + VAT). Total discount was 99p + VAT (£1.16).

My total bill was reduced from £187.48 to £186.32

I shall be thinking very hard before I renew my Gold membership!

Im not sure about the Oil but the gold discount helps alot when your buying big stuff like body kit maybe or some new headlights etc. saved me a fair amount over the years

Unfortunatly this does not count for every dealer.. it is up to the discretion of the dealer what discount is given.

Some people here have saved hundreds.

Best option is to ask the local dealer what discounts are available before subscribing.

I am however suprised they only offered that.. Always though MK were good for discounts.

They should have given 10% on parts and servicing as agreed previously. I am not sure why they only offered 10% on parts

They did the same thing last time i went for service!

I was abit gutted and feel sad but then i tried to contact the other dealers around MK and Lexus leicester was doing a much better deal and 10% discount on everything!

don't just go for the local dealer thou! shop around. I am going up to chris s's place for my 40K service. (done 2 already within a years ownership)
