Electical Problem

I have had my GS300 for 2 weeks and I'm most impressed. However yesterday when I started the car the Radio, Heater, clock and door mirror control were dead. I checked the fuses and nothing seems to have blown.

My nearest dealers are over 50 miles away, and both have said I need to take the car in for a check.

Before going to the trouble I wondered if any of you guys/gals had any thoughts on what the problem (hopefully a simple one) might be.

Did you check the fuse box in the passanger kick well and the2 under the bonnet

I have checked both the fuse boxes, the one in the drivers well and the one under the bonnet. You mentioned 2 under the bonnet - was that a typing error, or is there another one not mentioned in the manual.

Try disconnecting the Battery for a few minutes - I've had a wierd problem like that with mine that was instantly cured after a reset.

Thanks for the suggestion Rodders, I tried that after seeing your message, but unfortunately it didn't cure the problem.

Looks like a trip out tomorrow. At least I'll have the pleasure of driving the car for the 100 mile round trip.

No problem mate - good luck at the dealer's.

Just to check though - you gotta leave the Battery disconnected for a good few minutes (say 10) to let the NVRAMs all reset??
