Snapped The Locking Wheel Nut

got a puncture last night and managed to snap the locking nut in half when try to get the wheel off, the rac did a temp repair luckily the cars in the garage today for some accident repair, lexus say they have never seen it happen before,

the bit about the air wrench is probably correct the only people to ever have the wheels off are lexus, the car isnt a year old yet so the nuts arent rusty

Mine isn't a year old yet either but I do have rusty nuts (maybe I should rephrase that :) ) which is why I wondered. I did mention it to the dealer so maybe they'll replace them next time it's in.

Nothing worse than rusty nuts!!

My Boxster was awful for rusty nuts, each time the motor got serviced the dealer would ask if they could replace them. at a cost of course!!! i would always mangage to end up getting them for free, but i'm sure they just hid the cost in something else...... not noticed any bother with the IS though.....
