I have a 93 Lexus sc300. The rare 5 spd. The car has been well maintained and has 153k miles on it. My current situation is that until the car warms up I get hesitation while accelerating. Sometimes it still occurs after you reach normal operating temperature. Because their were no issues before I thought water some how got into the gas. I tried a bottle of "heat" and it seem to improve but the problem is still coming back. It's really unfortuanant because the car runs so smooth other then this current issue. please help. some history; A year back I had a tune up plugs, wire, cap, fan clutch, new belts, transmission clutch. Also. I travel for work and i'm still getting 23mpg on the highway. Do you think this is a sensor or I saw this one part on eBay that sound interesting to my problem. I think it was called a fuel vapor canister. The check engine is not on either if that helps. more, I know prior to '96 this model has a lot of similar toubles so I was curious if anyone out there had this problem. If so how did you resolve? I'm new to the club so I hope this topic isn't out of the ordinary. Thank you, thank you.

Some Relief !!! I use my first bottle of additive in the gasoline and it seems to be improving. After running the car 5-10 mins the result is perfect acceleration. This is what I don't understand why after the egines runs for a bit the problem goes away.

I use the Techron brand made by Chevron. A liitle more expensive but have heard some good results from it's use. I am going to repeat this twice more to see if it will clean what ever is causing this rough acceleration. I will cross my fingers!!
