Hi folks,

Just bought me a 2000 W Lexus GS300-II SatNav, flame red/black leather, beautifull.

Its just done 63000miles, I rang up one Lexus dealer, quoted me £700 for the timing belt!!

The car's out of warranty, can anyone recommend an Independent garage around the Manchester area that can do the service and timing belt at a reasonable cost.

Thanks,

Taz

You should find that any reputable garage will change your belt. The hardest thing about doing it is undoing the crankshaft pulley. If that undoes easily then the change is straight forward and a lot easier than a Mondeo. :D

As I'm new to Manchester, I dont who is a reputable garage, can anyone recommend based on their experiences of getting a timing belt changed. I'd go to main dealer, but there's quite a few things that need doing - brakes, getting a vibrations from the seat (not steering wheel) when driving around 60-80mph.

Cheers,
