Windscreen Wiper Settings

Morning all,

When I first had the car the wipers would automatically switch to intermittent mode when the car came to a stop, somehow I have managed to turn this feature off. Does anyone know how to turn it back on again?

I have had the car for 1 month, and the first time the wipers revert to intermittent when stationary is today!! Try putting the engine off when the blades are in the middle of a continuous wipe - that's the only thing "different" I have done earlier today. That useful function (which I had in my previous BMW) is certainly temperamental, but if it is not working try changing the variable intermittent setting to its longest, or putting your foot on the brake pedal when stationary! Curious it is not mentioned anywhere in the manual.

It took me a while to figure this out. if the intermittant rotating thing is set to most frequent then the wipers don't change to intermittant when you stop.

On way into work this morning it started working again, I must have had the intermittent dial on least often!

Probably completely side tracked here but mine only switches to intermittent when I have foot on brake

is this correct?
