Window Tints

Hi my IS200 SE wasn't lucky enough to come with the window tints which are standard on the sport.

Having never had window tints in my previous motors I worry about being able to see old bill behind me, I'm not a big fan of black limo tint so hopefully this wont be too much of a problem?

Also, bearing in mind I'm pretty handy and a perfectionist, would people advise me to get a pro to do it for about £200 (he says he uses the BEST film), or have a pop myself? If I'm at it myself can anyone recommend any film?

Unless you really know what your doing i'd leave it to the pro's

When it goes wriong it really goes wrong and it's quite difficult to rectify again

Yeah leave it too the Pro's.

My three rear windows cost about £180 and that included getting the rear window removed to tint it properly.

Ive only attempted tinting once, i did it on an old escort cabrio i had, which made it easy as all side window came out easily, the finish was pretty good. However i got the tint cheap, so didnt care if i messed it up. In the 12 months i had it it never bubbled or lifted, also never got pulled for it even tho it was dark smoke allround.

I never bothered with the rear, i found with the dark interior and small rear window it didnt need it. Lexus would probly be very different as rear window is alot larger.
