Do I Have The Correct Loom?

Recommended Posts

Hi.....I have an '03 Mk1 RX300 without Navigation, but having looked in the trunk area I find these spare connectors

Just wondering if any kind souls out there with a late Mk1 or an early Mk2could take a squint at the connections on your satnav unit in the trunk.....because these connectors do not seem to match the earlier Mk1 satnav unit....I am wondering if they will fit the later versions..........I have the correct front end radio unit as when I press "MAP" I get the message "external device not connected"...so obviously I am hoping all I need is the nav computer unit (and aerial).

Heres hoping...David

Don't quote me on this but they look very similar to the Mark Levinson amplifier plugs that are on my LS430, had them off recently to fit a parrot Bluetooth kit, don't know if the RX had that option though

Good luck

Pete

Thanks for that John....but I not interested in the phone stuff...just to know if my loom is ready to accept the navigation computer/drive......looks to me if you have nav there that there is another sub loom I need....bummer! Trying to get info on this vehicles nav system is like asking a politician for a straight answer....damn well impossible!

Seems the loom for the sat nav is contained within the plastic "convoluted protector" you are showing there?

I am now hoping there is an accesory/sub loom available from parts with which I can connect a nav comp.....stupid thing is I already have had TomTom which as far as I have seen so far is quite a bit more pratical than the inbuilt system (being able to customise the system)....I just wanted it for "completion".......will make the "nav button" on the console actually useful

Best regards David
