hello, :winky:

just thought i would post some early pics of ma new car. I gave it a lick and a spit and a spoodle up, including an oil n filter change, air filter change and a wink and a squint round to make sure its ok. Looks tops and im so pleased with it. All that left is to change the plugs (dam expensive a 60 spot if you fancy!!!!)n work out how to change the fuel filter. I wonder if any here has also done that? I had a quick squint around the net but the only info i could find was that it is in the tank, i have the new one and want to do it, i think i can do it ok , but some background would be ace. I also wanna change the pollen filter as i think thats why my heater doesnt seem like a hurricane but that seems like a 5 minute job. any nods, winks and links in the right direction are greatly appreciated. The cambelt has been changed apparently, but i wanna do it my self using a japenese belt to make sure, some back street garage did it, which makes me think they may have used a t.j hooker or a henry cooper belt or something like that. I used solid ace filters as i like em and they are made in japan. hmmmmmmmmmm, how do i add pictures?????? please help.....thanks, i never felt like adding pictures of my previous cars...but this one is special hehe

be back soon

Welcome mate.

Firstly, someone was asking about the fuel filter earlier today, and it doesnt need changing as far as i know.

Secondly pictures, you need to host them on photobucket, or somewhere like that then link them across to here. theres a guide somewhere on here.

But welcome.

Welcome to the club, if i am correct cambelts are all made the same and theres not much difference so if it was fitted at a local garage it probably is no different than the one you ar going to fit. Although, i would try and find out if the tensioner and idlers where changed as these should have been done at the same time.

Glad your happy with your car though.

Hello mate welcome to LOC....where abouts in gloucester are ya mate ? anywhere near Chalford.?

I'm not a million miles away from Chalford...why do you ask  Not a donkey joke I hope. Anyway I think he means Gloucester City not Gloucestershire County...but then again I could be wrong...as my wife says 'most of the time' :D

hi man,

im actually living in the city centre area by the docks. Chalford is that posh area near cheltenham

Cheltenham is a damn sight nearer to Gloucester docks than it is to Chalford  and I wouldn't call it posh..

It'll be that alright...the reference to the donkey is the people of Chalford are talking about bringing back a donkey service to carry groceries etc. up the hillls small tracks to the houses...as you cannot drive to a lot of them. Even though the roads there are two way, most are only the width of a car with high cotswold stone walls on each side, so driving along them can be a little difficult as you need to as competent driving in reverse as forwards :D
