Yes! Haven't checked the speed at which it starts/stops but definitely got a high pitched whistle. (only noticed it the other day 'cos I've had the tunes up way too loud up 'til then!:blush: )

No clue why, assumed it was coming through air vent or similar...

Ok, so its not funny but my car whistles as well. Mine is from the drivers window because there is a tiny piece of the window rubber missing. Must be worth having a nosey. :D
