the water spray would make the cooler more effective, hence a denser air mass flow, which would then be picked up by the flow sensor and the mixture adjusted in relation to the mass.

not convinced about the power increase, sorry!

It works by dropping the temperature of the intake for a short period of time.

It works but only for a very short period of time.

Instead of using water spray like Impreza's, why not use a chargecooler which is basically a water-cooled intercooler. This should increase the charge density more and give you some more power. Although noone might make one i'm sure it would be not to difficult to adapt one from another vehicle. Plenty are made for Ford Cosworths and Impreza's.

i was thinking along those very lines after the internals have been uprated so that when more powr is squeezed out the charge cooler,and larger intercooler will be more effective:smug:

The way forward on this is a larger air to air intercooler - there's plenty of room and water injection. IMHO!
