Sat-nav Speed Camera For Is250

Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me with information about adding POI locations of Speed camera's on my Lexus IS250 SEL.

The Lexus Nav system may use the same info as the new BMW 3 series but I am not sure.

Lexus Dealers don't seem to be able to help! or maybe they are just not interested in asking the factory.

Another BIG BUG how do you get rid of the very irritating "I AGREE" It drives me insane! must have been programed in by Microsoft.

I also hate the seatbelt alarm that does not stop after a short spell like my BMW, I do not want to disable it totally, I like a short warning and then being able to cancel it should I not want to use the seat belt for some reason. The other day I stopped to drop off a passenger who had loosened his belt as we approached his office and the buzzer went bezerk and I had to switch the car off so that I could hear what he was saying or make him get out in the rain to finish his conversation.

Another problem is that Accessory Mode on the start button should allow one to open or close a window if needed without starting the car if one is parked and just to admire the view or chat.

Otherwise I love the Car - Better than my BM by far.

The only way to add a speed camera to your sat-nav is to add it as a POI as you drive past or after your have safely pulled in after it. :shifty: There is no way to download them onto your system.

Don't forget this is a Lexus and it is trying to pamper and protect you by saying "you left your pucking seat belt off".

Hi Wallace, I always use my belts, but do not need to put them on like when driving in the parking garage looking fo a spot to park or in similar cases, so I have just disabled it altogether, I would rather have it beeping for a short time or a cancel alarm button.

Info I have found regards Speed camera it works on most German cars including the BMW so will surely work on Lexus. Otherwise Lexus needs to jack themselves Up and inform there vehicle owners what to do or just lose sales.

They say this works on most DVD based GPS's but no one knows the Lexus, not a popular car here yet, and dealers not jacked up.
