Ice Install

Recommended Posts

would getting an ice system installed now invalidate my dealer warranty?

the car is like 4-5 months old so has 2.6 years of its warranty left, and im worried that if anything went wrong, lexus could say its not under warranty as its been tampered with!?

are there a few lexus approved ice companies i should go through?

thanks!

Hi Andy (great name mate  )

I have talked to Lexus several times about this, and there is a thread discussing it HERE

Although this thread is not ICE related, the same applies. As long as the part you have fitted has not directly caused the fault, then you are fine.

Hope this helps :)

ok cool, that puts my mind at rest a bit then ;)

i was going to get a pro install, but i think i'll chance it and do it myself, had no problems on previous cars, but then ive never fitted a tv unit into one before ;)

i asked my lexus dealer about this very same thing when i bought my car and he said to call them first about what you want to have done and then they'll tell you where to go have it done.

he said if you do this, then it wouldn't affect warranty

hope this helps
