Changing Cd Player

Hi, my 99 model has the cd unit with the disc slot at the botom. Does the newer version with the cd slot at the top retro fit mine? Mine has error3 showing and the garage i bought it from are going to replace it for me! when they find a working cd unit! :)

Sorry fella, you need a bottom loader,

more specifically you need one with the same code by the cassette slot as yours....

13901-13906 etc.

thanks wozza, just needed to know as garage i got is from is getting me a replacement. Might see if they want to give me cash and i'll buy a head unit instead..

If they give you money so you can replace it, you may be better off going for an aftermarket Head Unit.

Any second hand one they replace yours with is probably going to fail again at some point.

The older bottom loaders were even more prone to the ERR-3 or ERR-1 issues.
