Oil Leak

Car went in for a service today only to find out I have a oil leak and the whole engine has to come out to repair it.

thank goodness for manufaturers warranty

i read somewhere else on here that they also had a leak with theirs too.

undertray catches the oil leaks so its not easy to spot.

Mine was in last week for what sounds exactly the same problem - no visible signs of a leak and as you say, they told me the oil is caught in the undertray

Not sure if the whole engine had to come out of mine, they did have it 2 full days which they explained as having to reseal something or other and then letting it set and when I got it back everything electronic had been reset (Radio, Trip Computer etc etc)

I had the same 6 weeks or so ago and it had to be in overnight to cure the glue. Seems that this is getting more prevalent! I had the same with the electrics and the ECU lost all the menories and I seem to have got a significant MPG improvement. Its getting the 5th injector recall today so it will be interesting to see what that does.
