I have taken delivery of my new IS220D in Argento Ice (see picture).

Unfortunately it has to go back to Lexus in Bristol as it misfires horrendously upon cold start! Not what I expected from Lexus to be honest after only 1100 miles!

New pump required and will take Lexus a week to order plus 12 hours labour!

Sorry to hear that mate, but if you have a read on here you'll see that the diesel doesn't seem to be very Lexus like - in fact many owners actually regret buying the diesel instead of the petrol as that is such a fantastic car........

Hope it gets sorted soon and that will be the end of your problems :)

I have exactly the same problem with my 220d, it splutters into life when cold even when my clutch foot is welded to the floor! Can you give me some ammunition for the dealer? Which pump is it?

Cheers

I had the same problem when starting cold. Cured it i think by simply depressing the start button before pressing the clutch all the way down. Wait a short while then start. It worked for me, but may have been a one off?
