My Lexus Is Hurt

Recommended Posts

 Well my weekend started off great, managed to get the car serviced by myself without going to A&E but that is another story.

Went down to see my son and while I was in the house messing around with his Xbox 360 some wonker decided to hit my car with his truck.

I was parked where I always park half on curb and tuther half on road. Did not hear a thing due to the xbox being so loud but the ex went to the shop and came back in taking the pee out of me saying I kept the prang a secret thus defending myself thinking she was winding me just tried to ignore her but she kept going on so to shut her up went to have a look and what did I see? there is a nice deep dent to the rear nearside wing and light is busted and bumper is heavily scuffed. Well that made my day that some sort can hit a car and do a runner, I asked the neighbors and all I got out of them thay never seen otr hurd a thing apart from one bloke said he heard a 7.5t truck flying up the road and turned round very quickly and went faster to get away, he didi ot realise that my car had being struck...

So then and nstill now very annoyed did a bit of looking around for a orange truck, coulfd either be TNT or Salford van hire truck as that is all I know what is orange, but to no avail found nowt.. My weekend was ruined and I did take it out on other people but I will have to make amends in that department.. :duh:

Now I must ring my insurance and sort it out and pay the excess, my friend who is very good with cars said it could be a right off as it will need a new wing, the rest is just cosmetic. If I could put pictures on here I would post it. It is only a dent but cars these day's don't get much filler or panel beating, and as it will have to go to a Lexus approved repair centre and that will be Lexus Teesside it could be leaving me forever :crybaby:

I AM SO F*****G ANNOYED I WANT TO DO SOME THING!!!!!!!!! But I think the stella will help ..

Off to ring my insurance now

Waste of time...... Police don't want to know...unless the culprit was speeding of course!

I feel for you mate, not the same thing but my car has been keyed twice and had the rear bumper mysteriously showcase a huge scuff mark......it just peaves you off don't it?! Good luck in the hunt, and better luck getting a quick decent repair!

Damn can't believe people can do that but that's how society is nowadays unfortunately.........

Do you really think it'll be written off? Doesn't sound like the damage is severe enough to warrant it but I guess if the repair bill is too high.............hope it gets sorted soon, maybe you'll have to get that IS250 sooner than you were planning :shutit:

B) Thank you for the kind replies, it makes the pain go away slightly, I have rang the insurance co up and I am waiting for a call from Lexus Teesside to arrange for the car to get looked at. ;)

Only reason it could be a right off is that it will need a rear wing but it will be the labour that will kill it.. It is not like the good old day's when a geezer with a rolly in his mouth and a flat cap would use his expertise to do a bit of proper panel beating and apply next to no filler. Too easy these days just to right a car off for a slight dent but that is the 21st century..

Hope I get a nice courtesy car to play in :whistling:

Fingers crossed that it get's repaired as I would be very dissapointed if it ends up a right off.........you never know I might end up buying it back :whistling:

I think I have gone off the idea of a IS250 I think I would rather have a IS300, I have one lined up if it is a write off :whistling: not the colour I would want as I still think Royal Saphire is the best colour :shutit:

B) Here is an update on my car... took it down to Lexus Teesside and a geezer took some pics of the damage to send to insurance company and then told me it is not a right off.. hee hee... said it needs a new rear wing bumper and light..

Tis booked in for next monday to get sorted just have to wait for insurance to confirm everything is ok..

I am sorta happy about getting it sorted but it still pees me off that some fooker can hit yer car and do a runner..

After all my car has went through over the last 4yrs and it has come out unscathed until some DH was probably showing off to someone, well I won't ramble on, tis getting fixed now B)

I am sorry to hear about what had happened and rather shocked that Police won't file a case. My personal advise would be for you to go personally to the local police station of the area and ask them to provide you with the details of the truck involved in the incident (surely there must have been CCTV cameras in the area and he must have been caught entering or exiting that road). Give them the date & time and I am sure they'd help you to track down that terrorist who caused such a distress to all of us here.

I can put myself in your shoes and feel the pain. Please keep us posted

Yeah, i say we should form a group of Lexus vigilantes where we take the law into our own hands..we would look well mean, with Wozza at the front with his beer belly holding his aero twin bosh wipers in his hands, I'll be next to him and being a short ***** that i am, i'll only be half the size. Andy-r would probably be holding his scratched boot as shield. Parthiban would be holding his snapped cambelt like a whip cos he thought it would be safe to let it get to 100,000 miles. Rikos would be armed with a basket of Dorset Nagas. Tridentmorph would be shouting out single word sentances to confuse the hell out of the other people. ilovemylexus won't be with us cos he/she is having an identity crisis. Whiteman would be already in handcuffs cos Niwinars sounds like a bobby.
