Extreme Makeover Home Edition

As some may know i don't watch TV but i can hear it while i'm working..... My daughter watches Extreme makeover and it sounded interesting...... So i watched an episode. What a truly humbling programme, i was gobsmacked what they did in the time available, the level of human companionship to help the less privileged bought a tear to my eye......

wim says: Cancel the six o'clock news and show programs like this instead, then maybe the knife wielding hoodies who taunt attention would fall into insignificance and dissolve away if the media titty is denied.

I am quite a fan of extreme makeover, but as a bit of a property freak, I'm seriously impressed by the amazing level of work they do within 7 days - truly mind-boggling, try to get a British team to build a house to completion in 7 days!

However, I do hate the "Americanised" theme of the show where they over-dramatise the personal circumstances of the individuals involved - yes they are underprivileged but there are so many more worse off so I can't stand the self-righteous nature of the show........

It is fantastic technically and I wish they'd spend more time covering the build than sitting on screen shedding 'fake' tears............

i like watching it like you said get a uk team to knock down and rebuild a house in 7 days they would not turn up for the first 7 days lol

the best bit of it is they do it for the right reasons some of them bering a tear to your eye

best ones are for squades widows wear they have dead at war more should be done for them
