Young One Has Questions

I never had any replies to my post about myself coming over to the UK in late April with my '83' plated Lexus (how nice).

But that's besides the point. My question today is in relation to a few things, such as:

Stereo installation:

When removing the 'large' standard CD player, how do we fill the gaps in if I put in a single DIN headunit?

The apparent beep when in reverse:

What purpose does this serve? I thought it was perhaps the parking sensor but I have tested it and it beeps continiously.

TTE Super-charger kit:

How much for the installation, what sort of warranty does it have, what are the advantages/disadvantages and where can I see details of purchase etc on the internet?

Cheers,

Marc

Stereo installation:

You can purchase a converter to change the double din to a single din, there a few manufacturers although I'm not sure who does them - a few people on this forum have them so they should be able to help you.

Beep in reverse:

Just used so that you know the car is in reverse, first and reverse are close together so it can be easy to make a mistake when you have just got the car.

TTE Super-Charger kit:

3900GBP with fitting http://www.tdi-plc.com/is200.html

Advantages: Increased power & torque

Disadvtanges: Increased noise, does not add much to resell value, increased insurance

Warranty: 1 year

Keiran,

Damn that was quick. Very impressive, thanks.

I am actually in France myself, but I will make some inqueries about that single din converter within the Forum and also outside via the Web.

Ahh, the beep. It had me worried, thinking that my sensor wasn't working. (That's a bit cheap - I expected one)

3900 Pounds! Does anyone know how much that makes in Euros or Australian Dollars? (Yes, I'm an Aussie).

Hopefully with that installed I will be able to respresent in Monaco B)

Cheers! :)
