i've lost my owners manual, and have had a warning light intemittently on for the past few weeks now, i would appreciate someone telling me what the warning means. it looks like this (O) with ! in the middle. The light is on permanantly in the last few days. i've check brake fluid and oil etc but they are all ok. if i take it the local Lexus garage, they'll charge £100 just to take a look. any help appreciated. I had all the brakes replaced in November 2007.

thanks

If it comes on when you press the brake pedal, it could be one of your brake lamps out, otherwise it does the fluid level (mine was coming on intermittently for the last week or so and a top up of fluid cured it - it was just above min but hard cornering was bringing it on), if it is neither of those, then you need to get it checked by the dealer.

Fluid level may look OK but braking, accelerating hard, cornering can cause it to move and make the sensor think you are low on fluid.

If it comes on when you touch brakes and only goes off when you turn ignition off then on it is probably a dodgy brake light bulb or earth to brake lights.
