purchased my IS200 Sport last week and first post in the forum.

coolrides that looks great can i ask what year your car is? Mine is 1999 and as posted in another forum sits higher at the back than later models.

Will start mods next week and induction kit and lowering is first. A couple of questions:

1. For this amount of lowering are coilovers needed? I have standard sport wheels with eventual plans to move upto 18"

2. Springs i have found are stating 35mm lowering front and back. Will different springs be required to lower more at the back and if so what make can anyone reccommend?

I really want to drop mine at the back and as the sports suspension is already lower than standard a 35mm spring will not make a massive difference i think.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to LOC fella - if you're wanting to go past 35mm you're really going to need to go down the coilovers route - springs dropping more than that are going to put your standard shocks under too much stress I'd have thought.

my car was a pretty standard 99 se model just coilovers wheels and tints and a backbox. sold it now to save for an altezza. but def say safer going down the coilover route rather than buy springs and not be happy with the way it sits. my 18s rubbed very slightly on the plastic arch liners but was not worth worrying about. could have remoulded it a bit with my heat gun if needed.
