Twin Turbo Running Costs?

I am currently selling my lovely is200SE and am going to replace it with a bigger car. I was originally going to buy a :whistling: BMW 5 series estate. Better fuel consumption than a Lexus and can carry a lot of crap.

BUT...while looking through autotrader i started twitching when i saw the twin turbo V300's :yahoo: My question is what are the performance figures like? and what are the running costs like? (fuel, parts etc)

Does Lexus GB service these cars? Can you only buy them as an import model?

Any suggestions (including ***** taking ones abouth the BMW) are all welcome!

Regards,

Matt

Hi matt

Toyota will service the V300

My local Toyota garage services them so there is no problem getting parts and getting servicing.

I even think some Lexus dealerships will service the V300 too. From what i have heard anyway.

Also very very quick car! 0-60 in 5.5 i think.. ask paul (Norkep)

Hi mattgrant,

My little beast is a Twin Port TT, the 0 - 60 is amazing, tried it more than once just to check, -ie- full tank and 1 person, half tank and 2 people, it gives approx just over 4 seconds and 7 seconds 0 - 100

Thanks for that. I'm still trying to get my head around this. Are all the twin turbo cars imports?, or did Lexus do any UK twin turbo (or even single turbo) models?

I had a look at the spec of the uk GS300SE and it doesn't go particularly quick, and hasn't got very good fuel consumption. Any suggestions anyone?

Cheers,

Matt

Okay, lets be honest, the BMW 5 series is the best in it's class, by a long way. The estate is a serious piece of load-lugging kit, it will be solid, reliable, and all in all, a good purchase.

However, do you really want everyone who see's you to think you masterbate too much????

:P

Ian.
