Sport Styling Kit

Hi Guys/UV, I could do with some help deciding what options to get on my IS. I am ordering a new IS200 Sport in platinum ice with black leather from Lexus Sheffield next week, and I cant decide wether to go for the sports styling pack or not. Has anyone got any pics of the kit and alloys? Also, when you guys got your IS's, what extras did you manage to get out of the dealer? He said he would throw in metallic paint, but I reckon he could afford to be a bit more generous than that!

One last point - The navigator is a fantastic toy, but a bit pricey - what do you lot think?

There are also other styling options avalible from your dealer. Ask them!

The Sat Nav is a great toy, but the question is "are you going to use it"?

I asked my dealer, and he said the sport styling kit was the only styling option available for the 200 sport. I asked him if I could order TTE stuff through him and he said he didn't think so. What extras did you guys wangle??

The kit you see on mine and all the supercharged cars in the Gallery is avalible through your dealer.

If the are not willing to help then take your business elsewhere.

There are other kits avalible from http://www.takakaira.com/ if you fancy something different.(In the Aero Kits section)

Sat Nav has saved me so much time and effort 95% of the time. I use it as I travel to different locations around the UK most days. The remaining 5% of the time its got me in some horrendous trouble as it can't always be up to date, but thats fair enough. I'd say if you don't drive to new places or venture into London frequently, invest in an atlas instead.

People said to me when I ordered mine with sat nav "What do you want that for you will never use it"

To be honest it's the best thing I have ever purchased,it has come in very handy on a number of occations

As for the Sport kit ,I must say it looks very good in the flesh-the only thing I hate is that you loose the headlamp washers

i've not seen a silver one in the metal, but it does look good on blue ones.

as for freebies, i got my floormats and mesh grille, but had to pay full price for the car (and lexus guildford were the only dealers in the area that would even talk freebies :( and none of them liked the word 'discount')

no satnav because by the time i've fiddled with it i could have opened my map and worked out where to go :)

Thanks for the tips guys. I think if the dealer will throw in metallic paint and mats, I will be happy. I am going to give the sat nav a miss - very cool to look at but I don't get lost very often:smilegrin:

I also think I will go for the sport styling pack. Loosing the headlight washers is a small price to pay for a cool looking front bumper and 18's.

I am afraid I can't quite stretch to a supercharger - my insurance is going to be high enough anyway. My best quote is £1262 with Direct Line (23YO, 2YNC, 3 points)

The only supercharged IS200 they would quote me for was an import which would have been £2112 and I would have to garage the car which would be quite difficult as I can't even fit my Saxo in my garage

thats not a bad price though Andy.. i mean the £1262 quote.. my brother is 23 and has an Mr2 95 model and the car costs much less than the IS200 and he is paying 1300 through direct line
