Hi

I am sure someone will have posted something about the headlights elsewhere, but I can't seem to find any thing. Bought my 250 SE (not L, so no HID) in June and have only just had the opportunity to drive it in the dark. Guess what, the headlights are c**p on dipped beam, very short cut off and quite dull. They seem fine on full beam.

I've had BMW's before and have had similar problems, but I just wondered if anyone had seen much of an improvement with uprated bulbs, particularly since the cut of seems so sharp.

Cheers

Does the IS250 NON-HID headlight still have a projector in it? If so fitting a HID kit into the projector headlight will make the whole HID install look factory fitted. Cut off won't be as good as the factory HID system but still will be a massive difference.

Not sure if you will run into OBC (On-board Computer) errors on the car. I know a place in Oldham that does HID kit installs and they do kits using special ballasts for cars that have bulb warning lights that can cause OBC errors; hence avoiding most of the issues with after market HID kits. Let me know if you want their details.
