Battery Light On Dash

If you have a multimeter mate, check the battery with the car turned off to see what voltage you have? then start the car and check it again to see if the alternator is doing its job? How olds the battery mate?

I havent got a multimeter mate and im not sure how old the Battery is. I even tightened the alternater belt up! I cant find the fault so gonna call the rac i think

A lot of the car shops will do you a free Battery check mate and see if it s the Battery at fault?

But with the new stereo system your running, amp etc, my money is on the Battery itself as now its taking a bit of a hammering and if its quite old wont be upto holding enough power for your new system and all the other bits it has to hold power for?

Do the interior light or headlights dim when you have the stereo up loud? then when you rev they get brighter?
