Disc Jammed In Cd Autochanger

Recommended Posts

I pressed eject on a disc today and the usual whirring noise happened but the disc didn't come out.

It whirred for a long time before fervant prayer stopped it but still no disc.

Any ideas, or do I need to go to the dealer?

(It's the standard CD unit, not multimedia and the disc is a normal CD, not mp3 or CDR)

oh no :o a Lexus with CD changer problem, what a shock :tsktsk:

(excuse my slight sarcasm directed @ Lexus)

I wish I could help, but my knowledge with the IS250 is very limited other

than a few loan cars. This is the first I have heard of an IS250 one going wrong.

When will Lexus (& other manufacturers) stop this idea of a dash mount changer ?

Great for convenience, poor for reliability.

The older type of 6,10 or 12 Disc CD Changers (depending on manufacturer etc)

were much more reliable IMO.

Best of luck with finding a solution mate, and if you do, post up in case it happens

to another member :D

Hi DJ. Good to catch-up with you!

As I mentioned to people at the Ace Cafe last night, it righted itself. (self-fixing car - cool!)

Same thing happened to my multimedia autochanger. Needed a new changer under warranty.
