OK i have just had my headgasket done

and now it hanging onto gears on the lightest of throttle, does not change till 2600rpm and overdrive is very reluctant, anything that could have been left off or a pipe on wrong somewhere ? help its doing my head in, and using more fuel !

I'm no expert but could it be your ECU has gone "out of sync"

Might be a vacuum line in the wrong place, or kinked. Often (although I'm not sure about the GS), the auto senses the load on the engine via a vacuum line from the inlet manifold. If this vacuum signal is not correct, the box could easily get confused.... OR its all electronic and I'm just too old skool to know better!

ye i have had a good look at the vacuum pipes all look correct, could do with a good pic to compare them all...

Hiya WOW...try the ECU reset first as it costs nothing to do. The fuse is under the bonnet - look it up on the cover - take out the fuse for about 45 seconds and then replace. If this doesn't do the trick then take the car back.....
