Wasn't that on the A1 just south of Peterborough? I thought I recognised the turn off for Yaxley and the Town Police Station....

If it is the A1 outside Peterborough, Max Power brought a Japanese driver over with a special set of wheels who gave it a lot of stick in the early hours just after the new 4 lane stretch opened. I seem to recall he was going at a fairly rapid rate. I've googled for Max Power Peterborough Japanese A1 but can't find anything. I'm old, so the memory might be playing tricks on me.

Had a max power poster of that yrs ago, on the poster it had the speed of something like 198 mph at 2.38am on the M1.

Yeah, I quite often get the Micra above 210mph on the M1. Then I wake up, to find that I'm being reversed round a corner for the one hundreth time.

That car looks like a nightmare! I like Supras, but that one has far too much power, it's writhing all over the place. You'd be in danger of doing a James May and crashing going in a straight line.

Think IIRC that he was clocked at 197.7 on the M1 trying to hit 200mph and it took the police 7 miles to catch up with him but they only did after he had pulled over onto the hard shoulder :D

Haha I dare say one of the spotters would have seen a police car scrambled so Smokey slowed down but it was too late as he's been seen on the traffic monitoring cameras hammering it, only thing is though the police cannot prosecute him as they had no evidence of speed :).

I just love the chilled out look on his face everytime he does these things ala Tokyo tunel in the skyline :P

well the street lights are placed at a equal set distance so they could easily get a speed that way...

Speed = Distance/Time ;)

If you want to see the Topsecret skyline have a look and buy the Nissan skyline DVD.....its got him doing in excess of 200mph in japan at night in that 1200hp skyline and it also says about him getting nicked buy the police in the UK.. ....and well its good DVD aswell.... :D

That Supra is running the 3SGTE engine, with a stroker kit bringing the 2L up to 2.2L and 720PS.
