Spoiler Costs

me again.

I brought the spoiler with the brake light off eBay with the bootlid attached, now i need it spraying and fitting.

anybody got an idea of the cost im looking at?

oh forgot to add, i dont want the bootlid attached it just came with the spoiler lol

Your best ringing around a few places to find out prices for spraying, as for fitting do it your self, you can use the boot lid it's coming off as a guide.

and fitting, im assuming it needs to be drilled, im really not comfortable puttin holes in my baby lol

Heres an idea for you matey?

Get a price for the spoiler spray job and fitting and then get a price to spray the whole boot lid and spoiler that you have just brought, You might find that it will be cheaper to have the whole boot lid and the spoiler thats allready fitted sprayed than to have the spoiler sprayed then fitted? :)

oooh now thats an idea, i dont mind swapping the bootlid over. the boot i brought is off a 2005 sport, mine is a 2001 S, there wouldnt be any problems would there? or would there?

Not that i can think of mate, should be quite a straight forward swap over :D

Might be with the electrics, i'm sure you don't need reminding about your a/c unit being coded for different years.

You'll be able to see exactly whats involved in fitting it yourself by looking at it already fitted to the boot lid your buying, probably won't be that hard just a question of lining the holes up correctly.

BTW if your's is a sport shouldn't it have a spoiler already fitted

He has an S matey not the sport the only wiring is the fogs and the number plate lights so not a big job and think its a direct swap anyway?

Ah :duh: thought S stood for sport so is the S the one with the cloth seats?, I was thinking more about he difference in the years not the models, shouldn't be a prob but the problems he's had recently
