Noise When Steering In P Or D

My 1995 Lexus LS 400 few weeks ago started making a lot of squeaking noise when steering in drive or parked. My husband checked power steering wheel fluid and it was ok. Then, tonight it started heavily smoking from the exhaust. Please help.

Any warning lights illuminated or needles pointing where they shouldn't?

It would also help knowing the age/mileage/service history etc. of the car.

The car is 1995, 85K and it was regularly serviced. I am the second owner.

i would get the power steering belt checked you will get squeaking if it is slack

What colour is the smoke? And is there any white residue underneath the oil cap after the engine has been running? If there is, that indicates head gasket failure.
