Front Fogs

Hi

My front fogs are not working.....water in them and rusted.....can i just replace fogs or do i need to change bumper aswell? I was told by someone that not possible to just replace fogs. Is there a 'walk thru' thread anywhere? Looked on eBay for front fogs....none! Anyone got any for sale?

You can replace the bulb or the fog housing, no need to change the bumper. It sounds like your car had the bumper removed and the fogs not reconnected when refitted

just to confirm as i bought a fog light from the ealer last week. One fog light is £210 inc vat.

Is it easy to replace bulbs and clean housing?? Can anyone briefly tell me the procedure....??

mate very easy to take out. There are 2 bolts on the side of the fog light. Easiest way i got to them was to take the wheel arch liner off a little bit to get my hand in and then undo the bolts and the light pops out. This is because i have a TTE bumber. If you have the standard bumber i dont think you have to take the arch liner off and you can get to the bolts from the vent hole next to the light. Let me know how you get on.

yeh, the guy's are right they are very expensive... The one which are on my car never worked from day one (last owner tells me need 2 change da light bulb) after sum time wen i was free took time out 2 change the bulb they were completly finished, wiring, connector & foglights :( been trying to find the full works myself for the last few months!

I'm pretty sure there are at least two different fogs - early IS200 ones and later IS200 ones. I assume that the IS300 used the later IS200 ones, but I don't know for sure.

I dont think theres a difference in the connections, except the american ones cause there different bulbs. i think anyway.
