Hello Gents,

My IS220d SE-L ('08 reg) is fitted with a gearbox that give 120kM - 5th gear - 2500rpm, 140kM - 6thgear 2500rpm. I have driven other IS200d but they have better ratios 140km 5th 2500rpm.

Any reason why?

Cheers

Not sure if I quite understand your question, but with the IS 220D there are two types of gearbox, one with longer gear ratios and one with shorter ratios. The longer ratios are fitted to all models (including your SE-L) except the SPORT model which is fitted with the shorter ratios.

The bit I don't understand is that you state that you drove another 220D that had even longer ratios than your SE-L (judging from your figures), which doesn't seem right...
