Upgraded Horn

Just after a bit of info guys. If I was to upgrade those lovely horns that Lexus fitted, with say a STEBEL Nautilus, is there any need to use the relay that comes with the horn?

Or can you just use the original wiring as it is already fused at the Lex fuse box? Surely as you are only swapping the horns over, the original wiring is fine?

Anyone changed thier horns, if so any probs? What did you upgrade to?

Can't remember now properly but i fitted a nautilus to my GS as far as i remember you need to put the relay as there is 2 live inputs required one from the horn and another permanent from the Battery

hi. no need to use the relay. i upgraded my horn a while ago and i remember simply grounding one of the pin to a bolt on the body. my horn sounds muuuch better now. if you still have trouble, i'll try to post some pics tomorrow as its quite dark here already.

You will need to use the 30A relay that comes with the horn as the OEM won't do ... these horns draw a lot of power and will blow fuses if installed poorly... it doesn't take that much longer to do a proper safe job so why chance it?
