Upgrading 6x9

i was wondering if i upgrade the 6x9 to vibe ones would it still work with the lex amp or would i need to upgrade the amp aswell

No mate they wont work very well? There are 4 speakers on the rear shelf with 2 sets of wires (4 WIRES) to each speaker 2 below in the boot and 2 above the main speaker running the second speaker thats mounted on top? so you'd really need to upgrade the amp aswell :)

I agree with Aztec.

You could get them to work, but you really won't be doing them justice at all, & the sound will be fairly poor.

Very poor sound mate if any :D i tried last week to see if they would work and i even have a bywired set of 6x9's so could use all 4 wires god they sounded crap

An amp is easy enough to install, but what are you connecting it to etc ?

has anybody tried biwiring new 6x9's??

if you have 2 6x9's in theory you could do this the sub wires form oem to the woofer and the others to the tweeter...

migh be worth a try as impedances should work out about right and for those that want a cheaper soloution...
