New Lexus Rx

I came across some early designs of what the New RX might look like (please see below) and I thought if they can build it to this exact same look, you know the front grill, the aggressive stance, some very nice design touches I thought yes what a nice looking SUV.

But what do they do make this piece of t**d (please see below) which in my opinion looks rubbish, I mean what is it with a massive body and small wheels?

Just to add further, if you were driving in the first design (first link) an Audi Q7, or BMW X5 would look nothing compared to that, but as it stands (the second link) Audi and BMW have nothing to worry about as far as looks go!!!!!

It does look like someone couldn't be arsed and just tweaked the front end to look more like the new cars, that first one is much more aggressive and futuristic - probably what it'll look like in 2015!!!

A message for Lexus, am not completly convinced about the IS 250 C yet, the rear looks, well crap and you desingers at Lexus seem to think it is a good design to have the wheel arches completely dwarfing the wheels, I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT IS NOT GOOD DESIGNING, PUT BIGGER alloys AND WHHEELS ON SO THAT THE WHEEL IS SLIGHLTLY WIDER THAN THE ARCH (IF that makes sense)

The old or current RX is a good design more than holds its own against the X5 but I'm sure I speak for others t, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THAT NEW RX ON THE ROAD IT'S PLAIN AND SIMPLE UGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I assume you mean that the edge of the wheel should stand proud of the arch, since that is the only direction it could be 'wider' and not strike the arch itself.

But that would be illegal - so hardly the epitome of good design!

I'm shocked by that new RX, it looks more like a Malaysian effort in styling, not the premium Lexus brand.

On the current RX, it's been around a while but the rear end and side profile still look great to me, only the front end is a bit weak. But if this is the new one, they've changed the front end and made it even worse.

I agree about the IS250c, it's a bit iffy in the design department. I can't see many appearing on UK roads. The new IS250 facelift looks nice though, it didn't need much changing as it's a gorgeous car but the new rear lights are an improvement.

No, what I mean is where the wheel sits ‘nicely’ under the arch and not where you have a lot of over-hang

Similar to the picture links below where you have that wide wheel and very little arch over-hang
