How To Use The Mp3 Jack In Centre Console?

Recommended Posts

The jack in the centre console (next to the power outlet) seems like it only takes an earphone sized jack - any ideas how I could play my iPod via this connection? Is that possible, if not how do you use this connector and with what?

Thanks

You mean the jack underneath the armrest? To use your ipod with it, just get a 3.5 mm audio cable (male both sides) and connect it to your IPod. Press DISC/AUX and that's it.

Thanks, I knew it would be easy! I take it though that I can't control the iPod via the Media pack, if I want to skip tracks I guess I would need to do it via the iPod itself, yeah?

Yes, you can't control the IPOD. If you want that functionality, dealer can install an IPOD adapter for around £200 that fully integrates the IPOD with the music system.
