got some albums downloaded which have various tunes but are mixed into each other (gapless i think its called) anyways when i drag them to itunes it then reorders them into alphabetic order.

ive managed to preserve track order once before but cannot for the life of me remember how.

Each track name is liek this "101 - Coctail Lido - Lo Sono Il Vento Remix" with 101 obviously cd 1 track 1

If you click on the number mate does that not sort it by the filename order?

Daft as it sounds, dunno if this stands true on Windows, but I find when I'm on OSX and working with Finder and iTunes it takes note of which file I selected first when shift clicking, and then orders that way. So if I click the last one first and drag them in they're upside down! Bloody confusing if you ask me but kinda see why they did it.

Oh and it's ok you don't have to change the trackname, we all know it's really "101 - Britney Spears - One More Time Remix"

If you open your iTunes on your PC/laptop rename the individual tunes by double-clicking the title (if you haven't already), then single click on the word 'names' at the top of the list of song titles (in the grey bar). This will sort them into order, if you click it again it will reverse the order. I think that'll sort it for you.
