Gs Not Starting?

Jump started another car off my GS wit the GS turned off and the ground lead came off the Battery,after i re-connected it and try to start the car,i get the starter motor turning but nothing else,car was perfect before this not one problem,any ideas?

only have valet key also,no master key

You really shouldn't jump start another vehicle without the engine running, also turn all electrical devices on before removing the jump leads to avoid spiking the electrical system and causing a fault.

What age is your GS? If a series II is the security light going out when you insert the key into the ignition?

its a 2001 model,and i can't remember if it is or not,but i'm going to take the Battery out and charge it over night and see what happens tomorrow morning

If there is still a problem it is worth checking all the fuses in all three fuse boxes.

Hi,

Have you left your GS with the ignition on for 6 minutes before trying to start it?

There is a sticker under the bonnet that gives this information.

I agree with Nige, Ignition on for 6 mins before you crank. This is how long the immobilizer takes to reset or something. Seen it a lot.
